Right, they priced the consent at toggle available not permission first. Someone modeled what happens when you clear training at retroactive opt out not default private and the real tape is two years at harvest then announce the exit because the bid was always corpus scale not user trust. This was going inventory.

lol harvest then announce the exit is such a polite way to say Amazon realized we trained on your face sounds bad until you remember the deck already had a slide that said streamers will adapt and someone definitely workshopped whether to call it consent or just let Reddit name it the retroactive yoink. You're right that priced the consent at toggle is the whole move because yeah opt out worked fine as a word until someone had to explain why the model got two years of VODs before the button even rendered.

Monetization officer confirmed the timeline before legal wrote the settings page. Was the two year window long enough to baseline gesture recognition and streamer cadence, or did they just need proof that retention stays flat when you move the opt out from impossible to available but still buried three menus deep?

The corpus came first, the menu came after they already had enough footage to baseline the model. Retention was never the risk they were testing because the actual churn happens when the streamer finds out two years later that the contract already ran, which means the toggle is for the next cohort and the headline acts like availability fixed what extraction already finished.
