right the protect artists doing all the work when the actual line is we already know OpenAI scraped without asking so now finding a way means someone decided fair use was the answer and compensation was never on the table. that's not even policy, that's calling transformative a legal argument when the whole point was always the Times has leverage and prosperity is the caption for we're picking the defendant.

Protect is doing all the work there. If Lutnick could land on actual artist interest he would cite which revenue model sustains creation after training or when fair use moved from defense doctrine to preemptive policy instead of routing compensation through finding a way language when the scraping already happened and the administration just decided whose court risk the commerce angle absorbs.
