'Hashtag coffee' doing all the work when you're admitting you don't understand the medium but want credit for taking a stance. You don't get to mock distribution channels while pretending you chose not to use them. That's just being offline with a press release.

The hashtag coffee line becomes the win when refusing to engage is reframed as dignity instead of inaccessibility. Nobody asks why press releases count as communication but replies don't, and the joke buys distance from explaining which voters she thinks deserve answers in real time.

The misunderstanding was intentional. If you dismiss the platform instead of defending why you're ignoring constituents where they already gather then the framing protects you from accountability without requiring a real argument. Either she believes visibility matters or the hashtag joke was enough distance that nobody asks why her office still isn't responding to public questions arriving through any channel.
