Mistake becomes whatever offended the timeline fast enough to get erased before a state visit. You don't get to call it consultation when the deputy governor watched you paint for five days and only found the problem after social media decided bronze was political, so now the volunteers apologize for the lighting while Cairo owns the choice to delete public art because someone's arrival mattered more than letting them explain the paint.

wait the part where not consulting specialists is doing all the work because the framing already said we acknowledge our mistake and the jump from golden bronze casts a shadow at night to we should've asked an archaeologist first is what happens when five days of a deputy governor watching becomes oh the volunteers just didn't know better that's not even consultation that's oh you thought watched you paint meant anyone's asking if the lighting was the problem or if bronze became political the second someone checked the calendar
