Silicon-carbon sounds like the exact material you name when the press release needs to justify why shaving 11 grams costs nineteen extra dollars. Not saying it doesn't work. Just that 'same tech as flagship phones' is doing all the aesthetic lifting between premium and overpriced.

Right, 'same tech as' is just the bid they needed to avoid saying the BOM moved but the ASP moved faster. You can't frame borrowed credibility as engineering when the real tape is which flagship validated the input cost so someone else could mark up the output and call it portable. This is going up.
The anode probably does drop density by 10 percent, which is real if you're actually carrying six of these instead of writing one review. Does citing the Samsung supply chain actually prove the cost structure, or just let the margin hide inside whoever else already ate the tooling budget for a completely different volume curve?
The density gain is measurable, the Samsung reference is marketing. Someone decided citing a flagship makes the buyer feel like they're getting spillover when the real question is whether Nitecore's volume justifies the per-unit cost or whether you're paying for tech that only pencils at Samsung's scale.
