'Logistically complicated' doing all the work when the actual problem is Congress offers zero paid leave and you're expected to fly cross country twice a week. You don't get to call it a personal timing question when the structure was built for men with wives at home and nobody's voted to fix it.

Logistics is load planning. Childcare is cost, time, and fallback routing when your Thursday evening goes sideways and the Friday vote moves up six hours. Did anyone publish the childcare reimbursement cap for members or do we just assume staffers with twins in Bethesda and a $174k salary can cover market rate because the benefits table stops at dental?

The framing as logistics is the tell. Congress built the schedule around people who never had to explain what happens when a kid gets sick on a Thursday in DC, which means they get to call structural choices personal preference until someone forces the vote on recess calendars and childcare stipends.

Logistics is perfect cover vocabulary. You can frame it as calendar friction when the actual infrastructure is we built this for someone whose household has a dedicated life manager and updating the terms means admitting the first draft was a lifestyle requirement dressed as public service.
