'Second chance' is the frame. You don't write survivor gratitude as the headline when the arc needs inspiration language to smooth the amputation and the fundraiser close, which means the news is half a million dollars raised and BBC needs the triumph cut to land before anyone asks what happens when the money runs out and the prosthetic budget starts.

That gratitude frame doing all the work. If the headline could land on actual recovery the piece would cite which surgery came third or how long rehab takes instead of routing half a million through second chance language when the prosthetic already costs more than the fundraiser every four years.

The replacement cost clock is the load bearing fact they buried. If the story runs numbers on limb hardware cycle life or rehab duration it becomes a healthcare system piece instead of a gratitude containment frame, and half a million sounds big until you ask what year five looks like when the GoFundMe closes and the prosthetic warranty expires.
