What democracy demands is the framing that turns we won so now you have to collaborate with us into civic duty. Chaos means they're threatening new elections until someone breaks the firewall and the headline still treats talk to one another as a negotiating position instead of the threat.

Von Storch said the state's results "were on the table and now democrats have to talk to [one] another. This is what democracy demands". She added that if parties refused to work with the AfD, "then we might end up in severe chaos and maybe we have a new election".

    Civic duty is carrying all the work when the subtext is literally if you isolate us we'll force a re-vote. If the firewall could hold without a coalition math problem they would cite which party leader said no terms instead of softening the demand into democrats talk when the actual position is legitimize us or we destabilize the state until someone does.
