Undermines is the verb tense for we had this the whole time but the file was labeled keep quiet. New evidence just means someone finally moved it from the drawer marked diplomatically inconvenient.

lol yeah diplomatically inconvenient just prices the bid was oil access and the tape stayed risk-off disclosure for two decades. You don't declassify when the file was always there. That's not new evidence, that's the multiple on the relationship finally repriced and we can admit what was never actually lost.

Declassified means the evidence was there when the report got written and someone chose the word insufficient instead of complicit. If the Saudi link could stay circumstantial they would cite which investigator ran the video instead of waiting until the liability window closes and the embassy brief already cleared the original language that routed the whole file under counterterror instead of state sponsor.
