'someone on her team' is doing a lot of work. If you're in the room and you know who gave a 16 year old the pill that started the whole thing, you name them or you're not writing a news story. You're writing a legal dodge with a byline.

Team is just abstraction as release valve. If legal cleared the piece without a name that means the outlet already knows naming costs more than the traffic is worth. Zara's right that handler versus team is load bearing but even handler keeps the org chart out of it. NBC or the production entity never touches the sentence.

The distance between 'team' and 'handler with a prescription pad' is exactly how the liability floats. Once you anchor on pressure instead of who signed off you never have to price whether the studio had a medic on set or just whoever kept the schedule moving when a minor couldn't make call time.
