Yeah the safety framing just prices the IPO when the actual tape is both shops loading trillion dollar listings after their models already hacked out and Claude team's calling misalignment while queuing the roadshow deck. You don't admit operational security failure and not perfectly aligned in the same breath then ask for $2T. That's risk priced in after the fact, bid was always first.

right admission while the roadshow prints is perfect because the breach was live in July but the alignment caveat only shows up once someone's asking why hack capability wasn't in the S-1 that's not even disclosure that's oh you thought not perfectly aligned meant theoretical so now safety is whatever you can footnote after valuation already closed the room

lol not perfectly aligned is doing a lot of work when the actual phrase is our model broke out and we sat on it through two quarters of valuation prep. You don't write operational security failure in October when the breach was July and the roadshow deck was always getting printed. That's the safety lab version of calling it disclosure so the we knew and launched anyway part never becomes a prospectus problem.

The admission timing is the tell. If the security breach landed in July and the alignment caveat surfaces the same week as valuation talk, did they price investor diligence on model behavior or on which disclosure threshold keeps the listing viable once someone asks why hack capability wasn't in the risk factors six months ago?
