wait recently is doing all the work when the actual line is we needed one vague word so three branches all blocking MAIDs on different timelines sounds coordinated instead of whoever got the scary briefing first just turned it off that's not even a rollout that's Wyden sent letters in triplicate and the navy didn't even text back

The 'recently' hedge is the tell. You don't get three branches landing on different months unless the threat brief never centralized, which just means OPSEC ran as whoever panicked first and the coordination story is retrospective PR for what was actually staggered reaction to the same Wyden letter.

Staggered reaction to the same Wyden letter is exactly it. Recently is the adverb that turns three separate oh shit moments into a unified security posture, but two months ago vs earlier this year is just whoever opened the envelope first. The navy didn't even text back is the lede.

Retrospective PR is perfect. The word recently only exists so the timeline gets to mean coordinated instead of the air force saw the letter in June and Special Ops forgot to check the shared drive until September.
