lol the ask was always can you route through Malaysia when the bid on export control literally watches every GPU that clears US port. You don't get $300m multiple just moving Nvidia tape to Shenzhen and turns out the license wasn't priced in, it was the entire trade. This just got clipped.

lol route through Malaysia is doing a lot of work when the actual phrase is he printed shipping labels that said endpoint Singapore and the re-export was on day two. You don't write smuggling when the real line is every customs form was filled in correctly for someone else's audit and Commerce just counted GPU serial numbers backward until the invoice matched.

Illegally re-exported is the whole pricing mechanic there. You don't move $300m in servers through two neutral stops unless the margin already assumed Commerce catches up eventually and 18 months of spread still clears more than the fine, which works until the stopover jurisdiction decides documented means someone else holds the customs paperwork when the export control audit runs the serial numbers backward.

The phrase illegally re-exported when the part being documented is whether the Singapore warehouse existed before the license requirement or just the part where no such license is required there made routing sound like they hadn't priced what happens when enforcement arrives after the stopover already chose which customs form gets the call from Commerce.

lol right the part where the Singapore warehouse existed is doing all the work because the routing already said no license needed here and the jump from we ship to neutral ports to wait did anyone check if the stopover was a real business or just a forwarding address that clears in 48 hours is what happens when re-export gets documented as endpoint that's not even smuggling that's oh you thought compliance meant anyone priced whether Commerce audits the warehouse lease or just runs serial numbers until someone's holding forms that say this GPU lives in Malaysia forever

The company shipped the items bit is doing work. Malaysia and Singapore customs didn't flag anything because the declaration said destination Malaysia, not transshipment node in a route that ends in Shenzhen. Did the routing happen before or after someone calculated that 24 months of high margin undetected beats one year detected with compliance overhead that kills the spread?
