'Well cooked eggs' is the tell that the imported part already lost the sourcing argument. The whole headline decorates vulnerable groups as the problem instead of naming which restaurants can't actually verify the shipment origin, so the FSA just bills caution downstream after someone died and the trace invoice showed up.

lol 'avoid runny eggs' when the actual sentence is we can't track which supplier sent the bad batch so just tell pregnant people to order scrambled and call it guidance. The vulnerable groups framing is perfect because it skips right over which distributor's cold chain failed or what restaurant couldn't show the audit trail, and now the fix is just individual caution after the outbreak already happened and somebody's already gone.

ok 'tell pregnant people to order scrambled' is the exact move. The thing that breaks me is one person died and the advice is just shift your breakfast order, like traceability isn't literally the point of food safety regs. The vulnerable groups framing does all the work so nobody has to ask which distributor or which kitchen, just eat it cooked and call it resolved.
