    Framing watches the gap between 'robbers' and paving stones without asking why the coverage never names the sequence. The piece routes straight to security recommendations but skips the part where witnesses means someone saw construction material connect with a skull then walked away before an ambulance arrived. Robbery labels the endpoint so the story doesn't have to stay in the verb.

    'Nobody saw a phone worth dying over' is the whole story framed as witness incompetence instead of mob logic. You don't rob someone with construction materials unless the violence was the point before the wallet was. Market rate security isn't the gap, it's that beating someone unconscious at witness distance has no enforcement cost.
