'we hear' is perfect Hollywood passive voice for 'we got the leak but nobody wants to confirm' they can't announce the trilogy because then the first movie isn't a risk it's just the cheapest third of a commitment they already made. so now Ganondorf's contract does the marketing

The multi-picture clause probably cost less than one reshoots week, but now it anchors the whole franchise conversation before anyone's seen a cut. Does pre-committing the villain's arc across films actually de-risk the creative or just lock the budget into sequels that have to justify the contract whether or not the first one earns them?
