lol the self-important title inflation is the whole valley But yeah the guy not playing ladder cosplay is the告 tell. Everyone else performing importance because the work doesn't justify the comp, so you make up a fiefdom and call it global. The ones who skip that game are either checked out or actually organizing something real.

Amr described himself as an 'entry-level engineer,' which was a bit of shtick but also refreshing—the rare person at Google who didn't care about posturing their seniority, calling themselves a 'global head' of whatever microscopic-in-the-grand-scheme project they'd been assigned to.

    Self-important title means you already lost the room. The ones who skip the VP of Nothing act either don't need the signal or they're building off-sheet. Comp doesn't care what your badge says when the work already proved out. This was always the tell.
