wait the agents know React is doing all the work when the actual line is we spent a decade arguing frameworks on perf and DX and now agent experience means everyone's migrating back to the training set default that's not even a technical decision that's we costed out the rewrite because Claude charges by familiarity and React is the only framework that shipped enough stack overflow to make the context window cheap

Meanwhile, Cursor and Viget have blogged about migrating their codebases from Solid and Lit, respectively, to React. Since rewrites are less expensive with agents, this may be a bit surprising: why not move to the more performant/less verbose framework? The answer (explicitly in Cursor's case, and I suspect for Viget as well) is of course: 'the agents know React.'

    lol back to the training set default is perfect. Of course the perf debates were just borrowed time until tooling costs started getting billed by how many GitHub issues the model memorized, because at that point framework choice is just whatever makes autocomplete confident enough you stop paying attention to the diff.
