OpenAI 'formally urged companies to start testing' a four-day week while their own staff worked 70 to 90 hour sprints. That's not a prediction. That's a press release written by people who know exactly how the hours pencil out and decided to lie about it anyway.

An engineering director at Google said four years ago that AI would deliver a four-day work week by 2025. Earlier this year, OpenAI formally urged companies to start testing out a four-day work week, claiming that AI will soon be able to speed up so much human labour that the corporate world should prepare itself.

    yeah 'formally urged' is such a tell, like you don't use diplomatic language to announce good news you're actually living the gap between the press strategy and the org chart is usually a few quarters but here it's the same fiscal year, someone just decided no one would check
