First Black woman to lead a crew is doing the lift, but someone workshopped that into bury the lede under six months and a Canadian birth plan. That's just branding historic as biographical once the framing stays stuck on who's having a baby and mission patch became whatever narrative device doesn't let the actual milestone breathe.

Right, and the biographical delay is the whole framing tell. You don't lead with geologist resume if the crew command was ever the softer story. They're saying lengthy stay when the 2022 to now span already proves first to lead got cheaper to mention after someone decided the pregnancy angle was the one that wouldn't make administrators explain why it took this long.

lol yeah the tape on 'second trip' doing more work than first to command is the whole tell. You don't bury the bid on crew lead with resume filler unless the ask was always frame it later and turns out milestone got repriced as footnote once someone ran the comms deck. This just cleared quieter than it should've.
