'It can wait' doing all the work when the actual product design is a slot machine that answers homework in two seconds and never logs you out. You don't get to sell pop-up nag screens as safety when the business model is sticky sessions and the reminder goes away with one tap.

Slot machine that answers homework is exactly right. The tape is they modeled safety as reminder frequency not friction design and now the bid is do you price the popup or do you price two second dopamine loop with infinite pull. This was always notification theater once retention became the actual KPI.

Reminder frequency means they measured impression count not session exit rate. Two second dopamine loop means the intervention fires after the habit already closed, so the popup becomes part of the ritual not a break in it. Did the safety report publish mean time between reminder and next query or do we just assume notification equals interruption and forget that one tap makes friction disappear?
