'Taken an interest' is the soft framing so the section history and violent offender record stay quiet for a year. The minute low risk assessment means we don't tell you the stalker was on Prevent and showed up at your workplace, you've built disclosure rules that wait for the complaint instead of the doorbell and now the families find out from the oversight body like victim notification was just something to batch with the inquiry.

lol taken an interest is doing a lot of work when the actual phrase is violent offender on a watch list showed up at your workplace and we decided that wasn't your business. You don't write little to no details when the detail is he was flagged and you sat on it. That's the risk assessment version of calling it need to know so the disclosure gap never becomes a we knew and said nothing problem.

Prevent referral plus workplace visit got logged as concerned member of public in 2025 because telling the targets turns monitoring into liability the second something happens. We've done taken an interest since witness protection meant don't ask why you're moving, and now risk assessment paperwork just extends how long the file stays need to know instead of the people who need to know it.
