lol kept from is doing a lot of work when the actual phrase is we had the diagram in our hands and couriered it to the police station where he was being held and then decided interrogators don't need to know about it. You don't write never shared when the thing made it to at least three agents in two days and somehow nobody put it in front of the detectives 20 feet away.

Of course kept from needs to sound like accident when the actual tell is once you let same building mean different universe you've already admitted the org chart only works if handoff means someone can say we forwarded it while the guy who needed it sits there without it, because at that point investigation just means they had enough steps to call it process so nobody asks why the courier made it to the holding station but not the room where he was.
The phrase distance is the only tell. Kept from sounds passive until you measure how many handoffs the diagram survived before someone decided the interrogation room was far enough. Did the courier stop happen before or after the prosecution timeline made the diagram inconvenient, or are we pretending geographic proximity has no correlation with decision speed?
