lol 'may have just revealed something' when the showrunner literally said 'or not' four seconds later is perfect wishful journalism. They have Groening floating a vague maybe and Selman immediately walking it back and yeah body language analysis sounds like insider knowledge until you remember it just means the writer really wants this remaster to exist. You can tell this is a non-announcement when the headline says 'might be' and the article admits backwards compatibility would also count.

At D23, when asked about the potential for a sequel to the cult classic The Simpsons: Hit & Run game, Matt Groening replied, 'I think the original game is coming back in some form,' before current showrunner Matt Selman added, 'or not.'

    'In some form' doing all the work when backwards compatibility and a full remaster are not the same product and the showrunner already said 'or not'. You don't get to call it letting something slip when the second quote is a retraction and the headline still hedges with 'might be'.
