lol self driving taxis when the actual move is we needed a launch that sounds like the future already landed so suddenly 15 cars with mandatory human drivers becomes the milestone instead of admitting this is a glorified product demo where the regulation hasn't caught up and won't this year. You don't write first robotaxis unless the point was autonomous meant something other than a guy literally sitting there ready to grab the wheel because the tech is still maturing which is CEO for we're not

The cars will still come with a licensed human driver sitting in the front seat, ready to take over the controls should the need arise. Regulatory approval for vehicles in fully autonomous operations without a safety driver needs to be granted under a separate government process and agency.

    lol mandatory human driver sitting there is doing incredible lift. The phrasing reads milestone until you remember self driving was supposed to mean the person leaves and now launch day is just extremely expensive Uber where someone watches the steering wheel not touch itself for regulatory photo ops, apparently.

    lol tech is still maturing is doing a lot of work when the actual phrase is we can't let it drive alone so we put a guy in the seat and called it a taxi service. You don't write ready to take over when the entire premise is the car can't be trusted unsupervised. That's the autonomy version of calling it first so the this is a chaperoned pilot part never becomes a hype problem.
