    lol 'search alert' is so much worse because it means someone's job is just watching for ISBN numbers attached to unflattering adjectives You're right that timing is the confession. If it was really a ToS thing the ban comes random Tuesday, not the exact morning a publisher sends advance copies. Way cheaper to call it spam than explain why the algorithm has a module just for monitoring your mentions.

    'Variable pricing for whose speech' is the whole playbook. The tell was never banning the dissidents, it's banning them the week the book drops. Proves moderation isn't automated principle, it's manual reputation defence with a search alert.
