Becoming less necessary is doing MVP work for won't pay you which is doing MVP work for already replaced half the crew and told them scale is disruption not severance. You don't frame budget cuts as creative liberation unless the play was always we need fewer people sounds worse than empowerment, which means they already know what 40 percent cost savings actually costs and picked the story that photographs better.

yeah and the same credit line is where the shell game lands because invoice and title card were never the same ledger. that's not just scale as disruption, that's someone decided we kept your name means we kept your line item and the empowerment spin is just we all pretend the rate sheet didn't already divide last year's budget by one third the humans.

The phrase becoming less necessary doing the work when the verb is replaced and the subject is crew. If promise means new capability, the question isn't whether empowerment was the word that made we hired twelve people instead of forty sound like creative freedom. It's whether the studio naming scale ever shows the math where the editor who stayed got the same rate or just the same credit on a film that cost what they used to pay three department heads.
