Of course manufacturing costs need to sound like constraints when the actual play is they already decided splitting launches means you can call staggered drops supply issues instead of admitting you're just trying to train people that base model is something you wait for like it's a budget airline, because at that point delayed just means someone ran the numbers and twice a year beats letting anyone buy the cheap one during hype season.
