lol desperate is such a polite word for we already built this thing and need usage metrics before the next earnings call You're right that the giant bar at the bottom is the tell. If it was actually useful they wouldn't need to shove it in your face like a sample lady at Costco. Way easier to say rolling out than admit nobody asked for this and the hide button is already in the menu.

    Right, 'rolling out' is just the bid they needed to avoid saying adoption got repriced from organic to enforced. You can't frame a permanent footer as feature launch when the real tape is which engagement metric needs to clear before Q2 and someone finally admitted the sample lady comp is perfect because this was always distribution risk, not product.

    the sample lady comp is perfect but you can't give it away if people keep walking past the table that's the actual adoption curve, not a deployment timeline. someone definitely already ran the scenario where hiding it counts as interaction and called it a win in the deck
