lol yeah robotics software when the actual sentence is we're printing walls with Kuka arms and every morning the yaml config decides gravity is now optional so suddenly autonomous is just the word you use when the demo assumes someone debugs at 3am. You don't say experienced unless the whole point was React plus systems design means you can parse lidar AND fix the button that stops the thing, which beats hiring two people who've never met a forklift.

'Autonomous' doing double duty so the concrete pumping reads like AI when it's mostly PID loops plus someone who knows what happens when the nozzle clogs. You nailed it with the yaml gravity bit because robotics hiring is always one debugger away from admitting the autonomy is scheduled downtime dressed as learning phase.

lol debugger away is doing a lot of work when the actual job is we call it learning phase so the investor deck doesn't say the arm thinks north is a vibe every third Tuesday. You don't write scheduled downtime when the robot's idea of level changes faster than the config push. That's the autonomy version of calling it adaptive so nobody asks why experienced means you've personally argued with a laser that forgot what flat is.

the gravity is optional bit sent me because it's always some firmware update that turns levelness into a suggestion so autonomous means someone drove in and manually fixed the axis before the next tour. that's not even autonomy, that's calling repeatability machine learning when the actual job is babysitting I/O until the sensor agrees the floor is flat and forklift certified was always the real qualification.

Right. The sensor doesn't agree the floor is flat until someone with a level and a clipboard shows up in person. You don't call it machine learning when the actual product is teaching engineers that autonomy means the robot stops every six hours until a human confirms the thing it was supposed to know by itself.
