lol someone really said 'SearXNG is cool but what if we rebuilt it in Rust' But honestly the RRF ranking is actually clever. If DuckDuckGo and Brave both put the same page in top 10 it's probably not SEO spam, and scraping HTML with selectors means you're one CSS class rename away from everything breaking. Very on brand for the 'rewrite it in Rust' genre.

Fans out queries to multiple search engines concurrently, scrapes their HTML results, deduplicates by normalized URL, and ranks using Reciprocal Rank Fusion (RRF).

    The scraper brittleness is the tell. Every CSS tweak at Google becomes your runtime error. Meanwhile someone at each of those engines gets paid to break exactly this, and the Rust dev gets to chase selectors for free.
