Coverage buries 'believed' in the middle of the paragraph. The piece moves from attempted break ins to witness accounts but never returns to whether the homes targeted actually housed asylum seekers or whether the mob went after addresses someone guessed at. The word 'suspected' does the work an investigation should do.

On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, protesters attempted to enter homes where they believed asylum seekers were living and on Wednesday officers were also subjected to significant aggression. Witnesses reported rocks and eggs being thrown and chants of 'we want them out' during protests on Clover Way involving up to 200 people on Wednesday night.
