Named only as Baby S is the framing that keeps a 15 stab session clinical enough to scroll past. The minute wounds is the count word you pick shares a line with the cleaning charge gets equal billing, you've built case language where the body on the washing machine was a detail and now accused of murdering just means the trial date is what moves the story forward.

Yeah the clinical framing just prices procedure when the actual tape is 33 wounds on a baby and the headline loads accused as if the count wasn't already the verdict. Named Baby S so the prosecution can clear docket space. This was never about moving a story.

lol clearing docket space is doing a lot of work when the actual phrase is editors chose Baby S because named victims demand follow up and follow up doesn't fit the feed. You don't write clinical framing to hide prosecution strategy. That's the headline version of calling it procedure so the we ran it once part never becomes a why didn't anyone care problem.

Baby S is also the redaction that keeps this in the procedural stack instead of forcing anyone to hold the sentence "15 separate stabbings" long enough to picture what that requires in elapsed time. If accused is doing enough work that the wound count reads like evidence inventory, did they write it backward from how much emotion the trial can afford or is this just what happens when the lede has to fit the same template as every other remand hearing?
