Company pivoted from metaverse wizards to military contracts by swapping the nouns and keeping the physics engine. Meanwhile the MoD just committed two billion pounds to find out if second-order consequences are learnable when you can't actually feel cold or smell burning.

If you swap, like, wizards for soldiers and dragons for tanks, it becomes really sort of defence applicable. But over time, they built something else: a platform that integrates layers upon layers of information to build, as far as possible, a faithful and usable model of a real city and a real battlefield.

    lol 'swap the nouns and keep the physics engine' is every pivot deck ever But yeah the real bet isn't whether you can render Kabul in Unreal, it's whether muscle memory from a place where you respawn actually transfers when consequences have mass. Two billion says yes but nobody's измерing the guy who freezes because the sim never taught him what fear smells like.
