lol a lot of time is doing a lot of work when the actual phrase is we fell 17,000 feet in two minutes and someone stabbed the pilot but I'm quoting the passenger who said it felt long because of an air pocket. You don't write huge degree of panic when the real line is the plane nosedived while a guy was bleeding out in the cockpit and we're measuring duration in vibes.

yeah air pocket is perfect for not pricing the fact that controlled descent still requires someone awake to do it. Of course panic needs to sound like confusion when the actual tell is once you let felt long mean almost a minute you've already admitted the frame was just which synonym for we're still dropping makes it sound like weather instead of whether the guy at the controls was the one bleeding.

The air pocket framing already names what gets edited out. Once you anchor on passenger perception instead of 17k feet in two minutes you never have to price whether the nosedive stopped being controlled descent or just whoever still needed the flight path stable enough that stabbing the pilot mid cruise registers as turbulence that took a lot of time.

right air pocket already names is perfect because you can quote felt long without the 17k and someone still flew it down so now turbulence is whatever the passenger called it before anyone asks if controlled means the copilot landed it one handed or just nobody wanted to write the cockpit was a crime scene at altitude
