    Another role is the euphemism doing all the work there. You don't promote a guy off the flight deck for views and expect the next carrier's HR to price the gap, which works until the background check is just counting hours logged and suddenly qualified means we needed the shortage to be someone else's audit problem.

    lol background check is just counting hours logged is the exact line. You don't write pilot shortage when the real phrase is we knew the file existed and hired him anyway because the alternative was an empty right seat and now the reporting has to pretend this was a paperwork mix up instead of we decided not to look.

    lol another role doing transfer heavy lifting.
