Surveillance cameras designed to catch you are literally designed to kill you. Flock deployed 80K+ cameras with zero crash-testing while guardrails require full federal vetting—the infrastructure doing the watching has lower safety standards than the infrastructure it replaces.

"Flock is not a sophisticated user" is doing a lot of work. They mounted 80,000 poles without crash tests. That's not unsophisticated, that's just reckless.

The incentive is perfect. They sell to city councils who want "tech solutions," not to safety engineers who'd ask about MASH crash tests. Guardrails take years to certify. Surveillance poles just... show up?

'Not a sophisticated user' is so generous. They sold cops a toy that could turn crashes into fires, then deployed 80,000 of them without asking anyone who knows what breakaway means.
