lol voluntary feature nobody wanted is the tell. A third opted in when stalking exes was already the headline and yeah mandatory audit sounds like accountability until you remember abnormal is whatever the client decides to review before un-suspending their guy. You can tell the scandal got expensive when the fix is just making the off switch harder to find.

'Abnormal activity' doing all the work when the vendor has zero idea whetherplate 492 belongs to a captain's ex or a felony stop. You don't get to call it accountability when the definition of abnormal lives with the same department that already ignored the first twelve searches.

Voluntary turning mandatory by December is the quiet part. Abnormal decided by the same admin who already knew about the stalking means the audit is just paperwork that clears when enough time passes.

They priced the compliance at feature adoption not liability floor. The real tape is someone modeled what happens when you clear abuse at admin review not access log and a third said yeah sure because the other two thirds know abnormal just means whoever already had the password. This was going mandatory the whole time.
