wait, Russell Group schools are up 5.5% on UK intake the same year 40% of all universities are projecting deficits and we're calling that growth story diversification instead of watch who gets the lifeboat when the fee freeze hits year nine that's not expanding access, that's deciding selective is another word for solvent and hoping no one notices the mid tier schools are fighting over Clearing scraps while the top names just opened more lecture hall seats

The Russell Groups just priced mid tier schools out of UK students with the same subsidy everyone's stuck on. You can't expand seats at the top and call it access when the policy change was the international cap, not the tuition model. Someone decided allocation beats revenue and now half the sector is fighting for margin in the last open channel.
