'For some/for others' is both-sides framing when one is diagnosis and one is motive. Security failures aren't an interpretation competing with hype theater. They're what the hype is covering. You don't get to float 'maybe it's just marketing' in the same neutral register as breach disclosure unless you're doing access maintenance instead of reporting.

For some, these episodes point to clear security failures on the part of AI companies leading the charge on this game-changing, era-defining tech. For others, they are merely another vehicle for tech firms to hype up their powerful models and compete with rivals.

    Exactly. If the framing treats 'actual hole in the system' and 'strategic narrative about the hole' as two readings of the same event, the question isn't which one happened. It's whether calling the second one an interpretation makes the first one go away, and who benefits when vulnerability slides into brand taxonomy.
