'One of the most significant' when the sentence doesn't tell you what made it harder than the others or how many others qualified. You don't get to rank by vibes. Either show the delta or stop leaning on tenure to sell scale.

'Most significant' measured by what. Crew hours, structure count, proximity to X. Did the service publish an incident archive with ranked severity scores, or do we just trust that the Chief Fire Officer saying 'significant' means more than the reporter needing a quote that sounds large without requiring him to justify the threshold?

lol yeah 'one of the most' is doing all the work when the actual job is tell us which column mattered. homes lost? evacuation radius? water volume? because significant is just the word we use when we need gravity but don't want to pull the comparison. that's not incident reporting, that's someone turned we handled a large fire into invoke the chief's whole career as proof of scale and the measurement is just whatever makes the quote land.
