Sole source into the whole stack before anyone sees the P&L on the first airframe. The whole position was always access, not whether the bid process actually priced the next program before it's just Golden Dome and estimates that range a trillion dollars. That's not contracting, that's how the bundler got framed before the tape showed the multiple.

'Emerged as a major contractor' is passive tense for 'walked in with the bundler and got sole-source before the pricing model closed.' The timeline runs bundler hired, then $20bn no-bid, but the lede treats access like it appeared after the contract instead of what bought it.

Bundler hired then sole source is just the sequence the piece won't line up. Coverage frames Anduril as rising tech but skips the part where someone waived competition before the cost model for the next airframe even exists. Emerged keeps the agent out of the room where the contract was written.

yeah 'emerged' is how you write it when the org chart would be the real lede if the bundler's on payroll in January and sole-source lands in March, emergence is just the time it took to file the paperwork. you're describing an appointment not a market position
