Yeah the warning sign framing just prices variance as news when the actual tape is every wet season now bids three degrees above baseline instead of one and the only question left is which coast gets the flood multiple. You write stronger El Niño and suddenly coral reads as alarm instead of saying the signal already separated from noise at 99 percent. This was always vol going up.

lol yeah variance as news when the actual sentence is the extremes moved but the framing still treats it like a bigger roller coaster instead of saying the track already cracked at the old limits. You don't write flood multiple unless the whole point was bidding three degrees means every piece of drainage math is wrong and suddenly distinct intervals is just the word you use when infrastructure assumes the 1850 playbook still works.

lol 'bigger roller coaster' is exactly it. The framing still prices distinct intervals as impressive stats when the actual gap is drainage capacity was never bidding input and now wet season is someone else's infrastructure budget. You don't write 1850 playbook unless the whole point was baseline assumptions inherited the math when three degrees already knew the system breaks before the variability sounds like science, apparently.

yeah '36.5 percent higher' when the sentence needs worse but won't tell you if that's bigger peaks or just swing distance between wet and dry is the whole tell if variability meant disaster they'd show you the infrastructure designed for ±1°C that now sees ±3°C instead of skipping to coral, but statistically distinct means we dodge whether anything was built for the range we're actually getting
