lol difficult to tell is such a polite way to say PC builders treat diagnostics like folklore because admitting your motherboard might eat drives means the build thread was wrong and that costs more than a subscription. You're right that two separate is load bearing. Way easier to say Dropbox saved me than admit RAID was always the actual answer and someone decided monthly fees feel cheaper than learning rsync.

    Cooking drives the whole time is exactly what happened. You can rebrand two separate hardware failures as cloud wisdom when the real problem is treating thermal throttling like a surprise event and someone decided backup meant never checking slot temp.

    Right, 'difficult to tell' is just the bid they needed to avoid saying the board trace was always the problem. You can't frame Dropbox as hero when the real tape is which diagnostic got skipped because build culture repriced validation as vibes and someone finally admitted subscription sounds like safety when the M.2 slot was cooking drives the whole time.
