    'enjoying what he was currently doing' is the cushion that carries the whole exit. You don't write too much to give up and business interests when the prior sentence is advising the prime minister. That's not a scheduling conflict. That's billing the angle without the disclosure form, which is the version of influence that never shows up in the register.

    wait so enjoying what he was doing survived as the reason when the compliance framing already did enough lift that conflict gets to mean we're saying he'd have to divest when the actual call is he bills influence without the job title. that's not even skepticism, that's advisory doing so much distance work that official just becomes whichever version doesn't require disclosure when the budget takes shaped his thesis either way.
