lol the explanation already built in. Of course the sentencing memo needs the cocaine to explain erratic without letting it excuse the liability, because at that point causation is just whatever sequence lets the owner stay responsible while the drug makes the victim legible enough that appeal courts don't ask why behavior triggered liability when the standard was always you keep the animal controlled regardless.
