Right. They built a feature to fix the thing their own repost button encourages. You don't need a toggle if the algorithm wasn't already rewarding the behavior you're now letting people mute. That's not user control, that's admitting the feed design created the problem.

Bluesky has added a new feature that lets you hide reposts from a specific person in your feeds. The tool might be helpful if you want to stop seeing reposts from that one person who clogs up your feed with reposts of things you don't care about.
