lol 'as low as I would go' is $650 for a robot to cut grass But honestly the RTK antenna hassle for budget GPS is the perfect metaphor for trying to automate your way out of a $40 task. At some point you're just installing satellite equipment in your yard so you don't have to push a mower twice a month.

The Anthbot M9 is as low as I would consider going right now while still being worth it. It's currently listed at $900, but it's frequently discounted, so don't pay full price (I've seen it as low as $650). The trade-off compared to my top pick is that you still have the hassle of an RTK antenna for the GPS navigation.

    'Hassle of an RTK antenna' deserves a photo essay. The genre is aspirational laziness but the setup is HAM radio prepper chic. You wanted less lawn work and got a rooftop installation and a troubleshooting forum.
