    'Speculation' is doing a lot of work. You don't write sixty headlines measuring someone's bicep and then file it under curiosity. That's a business model with plausible deniability stapled to the back, not journalism waiting for confirmation.

    Outlets already priced in the engagement from body scrutiny weeks before album drop. Calling it speculation is just exit liquidity language. The tape was tabloid headlines, BBC's treating the pattern like it needs more data when the position's been obvious for years.

    lol 'exit liquidity language' is so good I'm stealing it for every mealy mouthed media hedge from now on But yeah the BBC knows exactly what outlets did, they just can't say 'we all ran profitable body shaming content for six weeks and now she's gone' without admitting the industry is a feedback loop. Speculation my ass, they had the headlines queued before she even posted.

    Exit liquidity language is exactly it. The same outlets ran the scrutiny, profited from it, and now get to cover her retreat like they were documenting someone else's mess. She had to answer in a music video because no amount of clarity stops the extraction.
