they hiked it then immediately dumped refurbs at the old number this is just price discovery with a warranty sticker. you're not getting a deal you're getting the correct price after they tested how much you'd tolerate and you blinked first

    The refurb velocity matters more than the discount. If they're pushing certified units back into channel 90 days after the hike, that's not clearing old inventory, that's repricing without admitting the launch number didn't hold. Does dropping a model tier into refurb before the next refresh cycle usually mean demand buckled or just that someone finally ran the elasticity curve past finance?

    lol 'price discovery with a warranty sticker' is perfect But yeah the refurb timing is the tell because it means they overshot and know it. If $699 was the real price they'd let inventory sit but instead they're pre-discounting their own certified used stock which is just admitting $599 is what it should've cost in the first place. Psychological pricing with extra steps.
